practical, versatile, easy to use and inexpensive: the digital “pocket
microscope” FAG PIT from FAG Graphic Systems of Switzerland. PIT
stands for PRINT IMAGE TOOL.It doesn’t have an eyepiece so you
don’t look into it. Instead, the FAG PIT connects to your
desktop computer or laptop through its USB port. After installing
the software the user has a digital microscope with a zoom factor
of up to 140x. The image recorded by a built-in camera is shown
immediately on the computer screen.
And this image can be measured, stored, printed out and emailed.
